  • Introduction

This is a quick 14-hour course. Ideally the whole course should be given in two consecutive days, but is possible to do it during a few hours each week (in which case the students should read the last lesson daily, to keep fresh the acquired knowledge). The speciality of this course is that very little must be learned consciously, because its basic concept is repetition and getting used to it.

The teacher should keep the explanations to a minimum: the students should learn by inmersion. It will not help in the beginning to get lost in details. The teacher should read aloud each sentence, all the students should repeat it at the same time, then the teacher should give the translation. Then the whole lesson should be repeated without translation.

The correlatives are at the end of lesson 10, but they may be introduced earlier, if the teacher so desires. The whole vocabulary for the course has only 98 word-roots (however the most often used), and that causes quick progress of the students at the beginning and increases their enthusiasm.

This course was intended for class use with a teacher.
To adapt it for self-study, I added some translations, a full vocabulary Esperanto-English, and a pronunciation guide copied from the "10 Lesson Correspondence Course."
